There are hundreds of different ways to obtain loot in Borderlands 2 and can get frustrating when you don't get a single legendary from the 1/30 loot pool chance by each boss. Here are 3 simple ways of finding Legendary Loot Midgets. They are midget variants of Gun Loaders, Jet Loaders, War Loaders, Hyperion Engineers,normal engineers,rats and the super rare Jimmy J3NKN5, Loot Midget Goliath and the ultra rare Legendary Loot Midget Psycho which I have never seen since the day I've bought this game in 2012. These guys are called Loot Midgets in True Vault Hunter and normal mode. They are called Legendary Loot midgets in Ultimate Vault Hunter mode but the drop rates for legendaries are the same for me. In normal and True Vault Hunter mode they only have a chance of dropping legendaries but in Ultimate Vault Hunter mode they can drop Eridian-Tech relics,Pearlescents and legendaries.
Legendary Loot Midgets can be found anywhere in Pandora by opening lockers, Hyperion ammo crates, cardboard boxes and almost any lootable container that's not a chest. These chances are really low but here is a way that most people use to get a guarantee three or four Legendary Loot Midgets. First you need to unlock the Wildlife Exploitation Prevserve. Next head to Tannis in Sanctuary and she will give you a side-quest called Doctor's Orders. This will make you collect 4 Echo Devices located in the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve. Once you have this mission head to the where the first Echo recording is and pick it up. If you don't pick it up then you won't find the Loot Midgets. If you have the Creature Slaughter Dome you can enter in and out quickly so you don't have to make the whole run again. If you've done that (optional) head to where the second Echo recording is. You will find four boxes where you have to be super careful. Open them in any order but when you open the box to pick up the Echo recording, make sure you don't pick up our else you can't spawn any more Loot Midgets then you'll have to hold F4 or dashboard on your console. You should open them one at a time because these guys can put you down almost instantly. Once you have taken them out there should be a legendary, Pearlescent or an E-Tech Reilc depending on the difficulty you play on and the luck you have. Once you have killed them you can save and quit and if you have entered the Creature Slaughter Dome if you owned it then you would spawn at the exit of it which cuts the whole run time in half.

Next is farming the loot midgets of Sawtooth Cauldron. First run to the right when you spawn and clear all the enemies on the map. Once they're all gone open each and every locker, ammo box, and cardboard box you can one by one. There should be atleast 2 Loot Midgets who pop out of them and you can kill them for a big chance of rares. Here you can find the super rare Legendary Loot Midget Goliath who will spawn naturally and the Ultra rare Legendary Loot Midget Psycho. Out of the boxes you can find all the other midgets but the loaders.
Finally if you want a calm and easy way to find them you can go to Brick located in Sanctuary and he will give you the mission Rocko's Modern Strife. This mission will make sure that no enemies will spawn naturally in the Thousand Cuts except for rare enemies like Loot Goliaths or a Goliath with a slot machine or a loot chest on it's back. Since no enemies will spawn here you can run around opening every loot source you can from where you spawn until the Slab base. Here you can only find the Loot Midget Engineers and normal Loot Midgets. You can also farm the two chests here so if you want a quick and flightless run then you should just chose this one.
